Xanax withdrawl?

I have been taking xanax for over 2 yrs, I started at 1mg then .5mg and now .25mg. I have been cutting them in half and just taking one half once a day for the past couple weeks. I have been feeling real shakey, nervous, lightheaded,my pulse is always in the 90-100 range, and now I have this thing with under my left eye and above the left side of my mouth both places keep twitching and it is really annoying. Can this be from xanax withdrawl?

Yes. You could experience muscle twitching and the feeling of 'pins and needles, among other symptoms. If you want to get off the medication, it is best to do it under the direction of a physician.

Xanax. trying to get off of it. can literally make you sick. Sick enough for laying on the couch for a few days. Make sure you gradually stop taking the Xanax and see your doctor. Just being on Xanax for a month can give a person problems getting off of it. You can become dependent on Xanax one month after starting on Xanax, and you might not notice until you attempt to get off the drug.
