When do you decorate for Christmas?

I wait until the first weekend of December. Christmas comes quickly enough during the holiday season and so rather than the chance of getting overloaded and forced into a longer than necessary holiday spirit, it makes it more enjoyable to me to just have a couple weeks of it.

Thanksgiving weekend, while the weather is still decent.

I start my Christmas decorating the day after thanksgiving. That way my kids are still out of school for their holiday. So they can help me decorate the tree. We make some homemade decorations together also. It becomes a family tradition.

We go a little crazy on Christmas decorations, so I start on the outside on the day after Thanksgiving. That usually takes up most of the weekend. The following weekend is when we finish up the inside.

I have always decorated for Christmas right after Thanksgiving! I couldn't hardly wait! First we want to give Christ His rightful due (It is His birthday) and second the color schemes for Thanksgiving and Christmas are much different, The fall colors for Thanksgiving and all the sparkel for Christmas!
