My parents used to do an easter egg match up. So we'd dye all of the eggs and the "easter bunny" would put stickers on the eggs as well in pairs. 1/2 the eggs were real and 1/2 were plastic filled with candy, but they all had a sticker on them. When you were all done finding the eggs, you would see who had the most "pairs" with the stickers. Whoever had the most got a special prize like a soccer ball or a big easter basket - it varied from year to year.
When we were a little older my mom did an scavenger style easter egg hunt. We got a basket with one egg in it and it had a clue in it where we will find the next easter egg. They had one piece of candy each and a clue. At the end we found our big easter basket.
My mom always wanted to make the point that that isn't all easter is about so while we ate breakfast we took turn reading the advent story so before the hunt we remembered that easter is about more than candy and bunnies :)
