Halloween costume ideas

A ghost is about the least expensive costume of which I can think. Under the sheet you can attach chains to your body for some good sound effects, and if you want to really get creative, use some see-through black mesh where you cut out the eye and face holes.

You can make halloween costumes from a number of materials. How about a making a costume from cardboard, such as a batman costume. You can also use a black binliner bag to create a witch. Use a old brush as the witches broom. The witches hat can be made out of paper, and then coloured in black.

Well I don't know if your are still planning on going with the 80's theme party... but if you where you could always come up with some 80 look costumes. Like using clothes from your own closet or going to a goodwill or something and picking up some cheap clothes.

I think Barbie and Ken -before their break-up would be cute.

Depending on what kind a clothing you have in your closet and what kind of make up you have i am sure you would be able to create something cool.

For a male I think a homemade zombie outfit is always pretty cool. Get a cheap shirt from walmart, plan white t-shirt. Rip a few wholes and color with a black sharp a few marks. Then a tub of fake blood which is like a dollar or two, squeeze all over the holes, Drip the blood from head parts of arm, around arm and let it drip all over the shirt. Creates a very scary look. Add a touch of dark shadow under the eyes, and you got yourself a zombie. But i know you're planning on having kids there so i wouldn't go to over board with blood. My brother did this and kind of scared a few kids that they cried.

Women I think is easier since we usually have more clothes. You can make your self into a witch, model, any past era diva.
Or you can dress up as toy's from the 80's like raggedy Ann. Blue out fit, and cut up red yarn to weave in to hair.

As someone who plans parties months in advance i would assume you would have a few ideas stored in your head, I think just going through your closet well help you brain storm a lot.
