How old is over the hill?

Over the Hill Usually it refers to over age 50.

But I say you are only old when you feel old and stop being young.

Others say you are as old as you feel.

But being overe the hill only happens when you are no olnger around.

By the way I am 58 going on 59 in December and I have never consider myself as being over the hill

Over the hill is someone who is older than you are.

Party stores manufacture "over the hill" party & cake accessories for ages 30, 40, and 50. However, I agree with USAFRET, I think 50 is the most common age you would consider someone over the hill, and the other ages are just for fun, a way to tease someone about the birthdays to come.

Its either 30 to the young or 50 to older people

To me, "over the hill" isn't an age. It can happen to anyone at any time. It's when you stop being helpful and useful to your fellow man. I once knew a lady in her late 80's who, because of health issues, was confined to her bed. She spent all her waking hours verbally encouraging those around her and when she was alone she spent her time praying for all the people she knew. Over the hill, isn't an age, it's an attitude.

When you physically feel "Over the Hill". If your mind thinks you are old, your body will think so too!

You are only as old as you feel, so you could be ovver the hill at any age.
