I believe that holidays are celebrated in order to celebrate family. If you think about all the holidays that we celebrate through the year, you remember the family that you celebrated with. Even Veteran's day is celebrated among veterans as a group because they are a type of family.

Celebrating life and the lives in ours is precious, so precious that if you are forced to celebrate a holiday alone, you will feel a strange loneliness or meloncholy from the ones missing from us on that day.
