Claiming grandchild

I have a granddaughter that was born this year.She and her mom lives with me.the baby's daddy wants to claim her to.we live in louisiana.the dad lives with his mom.who has the legal right to claim her.I also claim my daughter.

You should defiantly claim the daughter and the granddaughter. This tax break is giving to compensate for expenses to the guardian and financial provider.

I'd say if she lives with you more then 50% of the time, you could claim her, or your daughter.
