How should I file?

I'm married and my husband collects Social Security, on my job should I file as Married or as Married, but withold at a higher single rate? I only work part time.
Also can you file church tithing on a 1040ez? Is that considered contributions?

Whether you work part time or full time you should file married if you are married. On your taxes you can file married filing jointly or married filing separate.

Church tithing and charitable donations can be added to your itemized deductions if you don't take the standard deduction. For 2007 you would mark this on lines 16-19 on a Schedule A. Some things to keep in mind is that you need to keep a record or receipt of each donation (carbon copy of a check, etc.) and you must have donated actual money. Pledges do not count. Good luck and good for you for supporting your church!
