I believe Conneticut was its origin but Meriden Britania Co., now International Silver Co.(as of 1898), bought Rogers Brothers Silver in 1862. They still produce Rogers Silver to this date. anyhow both companies were from conneticut, hope this helped, google the history of the company names,
