Polyvinyl chloride, what it's made of. On some PVC you will see "DWV" and that means it can be used for "D"rains, "W"aste. and "V"enting. Another type is Schedule 40 and can be used as potable water supply, meaning it can withstand water pressure. Hope this helps.
