You should always respect the senior citizens. I think your mother in law is not doing bad. Once you will come at this stage and you will do it. This is the system of the life. You should not get angry with her. if you see some faults to her then tell her not to do it. never be impolite to the senior citizens. Be patient. Don't get upset.Once you will must find the way to solve the problem.

My Grandmother had a famous phrase: "Let it go."

If she chooses to define success in life by such simple, materialistic means, she is a fool at her age. Let it go in one ear and out the other. It's not worth letting her rent space in your head.

Its not unkommon for wealthy people to look down on others. She will always stay like this so it's up to you to make yourself "stand it " while she is around. It is very hard to do.I know you feel like you wanna tell her to shove it up,all the money.Maybe you should, only people you LET,can walk all over you.Eldelry or not. She's been this way when she was young too.You can let her know all this with nice words, not rude ones, but if you can not handle it,I always say :'It's either you or me,so guess who will it be?"
