Depends on what type bomb you're going to use. Raid Max Fogger requires about five hours of prep. You ahve to open all cupboards, cover all dishes, food, turn off aquarium air supplies, turn off air conditioning or furnace, extinguish pilot lights, cover waxed floors and furniture, cover plastic domed sound systems, etc. Then place plastic or lots of newpaper around the area where you're going to place the fogger. Set it on a chair in the middle of the floor. Close all windows, take all pets and vacate the premises for four hours. Afterwards, go back inside, open the windows and allow to remain open for 30 minutes before you can not occupy. Then reverse the process. A lot of work but they say it gets rid of roaches and other assorted critters. The fogger's residue can play havoc with pets if they lick the residue. You can always use bait traps. Takes longer and if you hide them the dogs can't near em. One question, do you have a crawl space or basement? Spraying the crawl space or baiting in a crawl space usually does the trick.
