The type of weeds that 2,4-D kill are dandelions, plantains, knotweed, pigweed, and many others. If a weed has a very deep root like Canada thistle, it may require repeated applications or a different herbicide.
Usually, spot applications of glyphosate herbicide such as Round-Up or dicamba will kill what the 2,4-D didn't kill.
There are several broadleaf weedswhich 2,4-D won't kill. I know the label says it will, however, it did not work for me. Therefore, use glyphosate that contain dicamba.
The Timec products have an excellent and effective record for ridding yards of black medic, mouseear chickweed, field bindweed and creeping bellflower.
Whatever you do, think of the environment. Using more is not good when it comes to using chemicals even when herbicides have a relative low toxicity to humans such as 2,4-D.
