Sometimes it depends on the company. Some companies title their Administration Assistants as Executive Assistants or Personal Assistant. At times they are also titled Group Assistant/Secretary, Team Assistant or Administration Assistant.

If you are working mainly with high level Executives/CEO/CFO/Directors and Regional Management, then you should be known as an Executive Assistant.

If you handle one Executive/Manager/Leader you may be titled Personal Assistant., it all depends on the Hierachy you are supporting.

In this case, the acceptable salary range for an experienced Assistant with high level support is anywhere from $50k - $120k depending on years of experience.

I would expect the following:

Administration/Team Assistant: $50 - $60k
Secretary/Assistant: $60-$70k
Personal/Executive Assistant: $70-$120k

It also depends on which Country you reside.

Hope this assists you in the future.

To be honest, instead on focusing on the salary, try to clime up the ladder and become a manager yourself.

You can only go so far as an administrative assistance, since those are the types of positions that area easily replaced... sorry but it's the truth.

So ask yourself "what do you want" and GO FOR IT!. Go back to school if you have to, just don't stay in a position because you feel "secure", cause sadly when the time comes only the people in decision making and/or critical positions stay. Where I work they just laid off 8000 personnel, most of them administrative.
