How do i negociate a job offer?

I just graduated from an aeronatic engineering university and was offered a job, they offered more than what i said was my minimum starting.... i have a goal set for a 5yr plan on pay, how or should i negociate for more?

It never hurts to ask. You may also want to ask what is their raise policy as most employers will give a specific % every year that you are there. You can also ask about positions you may possibly move into in the next few years as you grow with the company and you can see research what those positions typically pay. Perhaps they have a bonus system. It can be hard to talk about money, especially right after you get out of school but don't worry it's perfectly appropriate to ask. They want you to be happy in your position and pay as well.
