How much is minimum wage in west central florida
I'am starting to work for target as a salesassociate and I get paid 7.00/hr. They told me minimum wage is 5.85. I don't think this is true + I had nine years experience in retail. Don't you think I' am getting underpaid. Thank you for taking my question.

Well 5.85 is the wage thats minimum , and the south is a lot cheaper wages then the north, you are getting under paid , by alot, you should not start out in your job under 12.50 an hour, with 9 + years of exp. you are well under paid, if i were looking for a sales associate , id want to give him more, because i dont have to train him , saving me a bunch of money, and you know the game from the bottom up , and i could leave and not worry about you, taking the day to do other stuff, so yes you are under paid,
