How much notice should a manager of a fast food place after changing the schedule midwee.

When ever I worked retail, it was the emploee's responsibility to check the schedule at the end of their shift to be sure no changes were made. If your daughter needed to be off for an emergency, the manager would not be able to give another employee much advance notice that they needed to work her schedule. Flexibility makes for a great employee!

Being flexible is one thing, respectful is another. Employers should respect that people have lives out side of the work place and should not be expected to work on a scheduled day off with out first asking. Heaven forbid she had "plans".
