I have problems getting a job

I was convicted in 97 of a felony 4 arson and i did 3yrs probation and was released it has been past 10yrs since it happened do i still have to check yes on an application

Because of the Patriot Act, the felony will be on your record for 10 years from conviction instead of 7 years (thanks Bush). If it is not off your record after the 10 years, call the district attorney's office to be sure it gets off or see what date it will be removed. You can also purchase a background check on yourself to see if it is still there - like monitoring credit reports. Good luck!
