If I work part time (hourly) without any benefits or paid holidays, can my employer refuse to allow me to take unpaid days off for vacation?

I work part time/hourly about 20 hours a week. I am scheduled to come in 3 days a week. My employer is trying to write a policy that would limit how many days I can take off each year. Can he do that when he doesn't pay me for any holidays, sick time or benefits? I rarely take off more that 3 or 4 days per year so I find this disturbing.

In sort, yes. If you only take 3-4 days a year off and if you only work part time, then why does it even matter to you?

Unfortunately yes when your pt, benefits are severely limited if your employer decides to give any at all.

Yes, remember this, they hired you to do a job........you get paid to do that job........if you don't like the way they handle things then there is ALWAYS someone waiting to take your job! Life isn't fair!
