The good news is there are legitimate work at home jobs. If you can write you can take on a freelance writing job, and write for sites such as Helium, Triond, Infobarrel and Xomba. Additionally you can post answers on this site which pays you through google adsense.

If you are artistic and creative then perhaps you could design tshirts, or make jewellery. You can sell t shirts on a site called zazzle and display your jewellery on etsy.

There are also online job sites which allow you to work from home. You can apply for jobs in a variety of fields including web programming, html, freelance writing, and graphic designing to name a few. Check out online job sites such as guru, elance and odesk for more online job opportunities.

Yes you can make money online from your home 1 avenue is taking online surveys you can find some of them at http://www.survey-101.com So is this quote a online job? Yes it can be based on the hours you work and the effort you put into it.

A little bit about myself I am a soldier in the United States Army and have been doing online surveys for about 2 years and yes they do pay you will not become rich but a few extra dollers a month does help. The key is joining legit online survey companies that pay you, I list those on my site. Another key is sticking with it it takes time the average survey takes 15-25 minutes and pays between .50 threw $3.00 the longer you are with a company the higher your pay will be. So stick with it and WORK. It will pay off the majority of people try a survey or 2 and then stop because they do not see income right away it takes 4-6 weeks for you to see your income so stay strong at doing your surveys and you will see the benifit in the long run, if I can do it with a full time Army job you can to. Army Strong!

There are many legitimate jobs online. You can make money by joining online forums like mylot.com,video sharing sites like revver.com and meview.co.uk, revenue sharing sites like webanswers.com,xomba.com,shetoldme.com, you can also make money by writing for sites like ehow.com,bukisa.com,trendhunter.com.
There are also paid survey sites like onepoll.co.uk, dooyoo.com etc. You have to be careful in searching online jobs because there are some fake sites who demand money in order to earn.Stay away from sites. You do not need to pay to earn online.

If you are looking for jobs that are paid by the hour to do x type work from home. There are very few of these jobs out there. They are basically limited to medical transcription, software/web development, possibly some writing gigs. they do require eduction and experince, and then finding the right opportunity to work at home.

Most work at home oppturnities are not paid by the hour, they are are either the varity of getting paid x to write y number of blog posts or articles,if you are into writing. many of them are MLM or network marketing where you are selling products to people and recruiting others to join you. (if you are a top earner you can make more money in a month then most ppl make in a year).

Then there are sites like this one, webanswers, and others where you are answering questions to get ad impressions, or writing articles at other sites like helium and what not, where you get impressions and make money when ppl click on an ad on an article that you wrote.

most of the well paying work at home opportunities aren't advertised, it is people just doing things online that make money. which is very far away from the paid by the hour work.

just be careful of the get paid to post google links sites, that is a nasty rebill scam.

the only work at home stuff you should pay for, is if you want to join an MLM.
