What is prorated vacation pay?
My employer has sold his company and I still have 2 weeks vacation time, it has been given to me every year on the exact date of my anniversary. He has refused to pay me for the time which is part of my benefits given when he hired me 6 years ago. State law says he has to pay all earned wages and any vacation time owed within 24 hours of closing the business. He is considering prorating my vacation time. How would that be done?
