Where's my pay for 800 hours?

I was a limo driver before the company fired me and was paid by the assignment only not hourly, also we were not contract workers they took out taxes. My question is, For all the in between, waiting for client time, Why not pay us? I wasted about 800 hours in a year for them only to get treated bad.
