Am I entitlted to college transcripts to show proof of attendance?
I've been paying child support enforced by the state of Hawaii while my son who lives with his mother in Cailifornia. I've requested proof of enrollment and she just won't reply back. I don't have any problems paying the child support but I want to make sure I'm not being taken advantage of. My son is 19 and will turn 20 in February.

A copy of a canceled tuition payment, any thing like, and I am quessing you were ordered to pay secondary child support, in which case your ex must prove to the court his enrollment in order for that to be ordered, so she may not feel like she has to prove it to you if the proof is in the court documents already. In most states you don't even have to bother asking your x,you can contact the school directly send them a copy of the order,and ask for proof of enrollment. In cases of minor children you are entitled to all school records,including grades. The same rule may apply to children over 18.Check the code for support payments in that state. Even if this order is not thru child support enforcement you can contact your local office and they will know if this applys to your state.

I live in Philadelphia PA, my son has always resided with me, his father has lived in North Carolina for the last 5 years and is in the Air Force, he is retiring this March and will be living in NC permanently....
What happens if you do not show for court? Do they put a warrent out for you?
