Auto title loan
I am a single mother and after losing my job last year was forced to take out a title loan on my car. My total amount they gave me was $800.00. Since then I have been forced to pay $200.00 monthly which total amount to this date I have paid back is $2,200.00. ( my car is no longer even worth that but I can't afford to lose my vehicle). I also have been forced to make payments electronic which has additional costs as well. The payments were made directly to a person not the company name. Last Saturday ( 10/11/08) I woke to find my car gone. They had towed my car. I had a letter in my mail stating if I didn't pay $1,600.00 they would do so. Interestly enough the letter dated 10/08/08 said I had 15 days and the car was towed on the 10th. After I contacted them he said I had to pay an additional $100.00 towing fees. He also had no clue where the towing company was located. The title loan company demand I leave a set of keys with them but towed my car anyway.
I could go on and on but I am beyond myself what steps I can take against this rip off.
Please help
Sincerly,
Jill
