Can child support be raised, if ex goes on state assistance

My question is: My ex is divorcing for the forth time, which I was the third. We settled a amount for child support 1 year ago, and the court excepted this. The amount is less than michigan guide lines. Now shes going on state assistance, and the state is wanting to increase this amount, so she tells me. In the beginning I gave her 15000. dollars extra if she would keep child support as is. She agreed and was put in writing. I make aprox. 40000. a year. I have 2 years left on paying my child support.

If she signed an agreement stating that she wouldn't ask for additional child support I would think that holds up in court.

Child support goes according to how much u make so if u get a raise ur payments can go up but just cause she is going to get help from the state i dont think this affects ur payments. just pay what u supposed to be payin and keep records
