Can I get my bad credit cleared up?

A few years ago roughly in the year 2002 or 2003 when I was 15-16 years old, I'm 23 now. I released some information so that my relative could open a Telus account using my name. I forgot all about the incident until 3 years ago, when I tried to apply for a loan at Royal Bank of Canada in Westlock, Alberta. My loan officer had made a few phone calls, one to the Credit Bureau which is how we found out that I had an overdue balance of 300-400 dollars on this Telus account that I had never opened. So we phoned Telus for some additional information regarding the account. Well my first and middle name came up on the account, but i have a different last name compared to the one on the account. The last name on the account was my mother's maiden last name and I had my step father's last name. What my question is, is that can I without having to pay for this outstanding balance, get my credit cleared up even though I gave my personal information out ?

You will have to talk to a Canadian soliciter ; US laws and regs would not apply. Or you can contact whatever credit reporting agencies offer your history and ask them how you dispute their information

Though it should be that even in the Uk countries that a minor cannot contract, since you were a minor at the time, the credit bureau should have to remove any transactions that were illegal at the time ( makning them is a different story)
