Can I move to another state with my child?

My child was born in NC I am from IN. The father and I are not married, but he did sigh the birth certificate. the relationship has ended, and I wish to return home to my family in IN. Am I going to have problems legaly from the father?

If you have a parenting plan that forbids you from taking the child out of state except under certain circumstances, then you would have to meet that obligation. Alot of attorneys will do a free consult for something like this, and you can find out that way if you will need to petition the court for permission, etc.. Good luck
