Can I withdrawl from my 403b to use for adoption?

I have a 403b at work we are needing money to adopt. I was told i could not withdrawl from my 403b for this reason. if this is true is there any way i could get money out so i could use it

This is not considered a "hardship reason"
While still employed, a hardship is the only option for withdrawal.
Ask if the plan allows for loan? If not, unfortunately there are not a lot of options. It is up to the employer what they allow, To withdraw
you would have to sever employment, reach retirement age (if the plan allows) Or be permanently disabled.
these plans are strictly regulated, so withdrawal is made to be difficult
