Can my employer schedule me for only 2 hours a day for 5 days?

I work at a fastfood joint, and my employer has scheduled me for 2 hours a day for the next 5 days. Can they do that?

Yes they can and I have seen this happen. You are being used as a midshifter probably and only covering a the time when people are leaving and coming in for a shift. I would talk to your manager about why this is a problem. For example you could let them know that you need more than 2 hours at a time to cover the expensive of driving to from work. If you are only making 6 bucks and hour, meaning 12 bucks a shift and it cost you 5 bucks to drive to and from work then its really not worth it and you should find another job.
