It depends on how old the boys are and what state you live in, its up to them to see their father or not.
what is in the court papers? i dont think they can.

The court papers says if the father wants to see the boys it is up to them if they want to or not. thier father abused them when he was living at home, and since he has left he has not in anyway tried to see or call them, no gifts at christmas, birthdays. the only thing he does is instant messages me on my cell with name calling and letting his girlfriend harrass me. the twins are scared of him getting them. Thank you Angela

They can choose what they want, i would change my number or tell the courts what is happening but always keep record of everything that happends. you can make it threw this.

Go get a protective order, and take a copy/printout of the threats made to you on IM by him and the girlfriend. the boys are old enough now to speak to the judge-request in chambers if necessary- and tell him how they feel. if you do it legally it shouldn't be a problem-also notify the school in case he tries to take them from there! good luck
