My wife and I divorced in 2005 in LA. I have land in TN and her name is on the deed. She has not been in TN since 2000 and will not move here to live. I took all of the debt of the marriage. She has never paid a penny on the land nor on the taxes. She doesn't want any part of the land for anything but any money she could get on the sale of the land. Is there any way to get her name off the deed without paying her part of the value of the land? I was born and raised in TN and when I retired from the military I came back to TN. She has never lived in TN and will not live here.

Did you own the property before the marriage? If so you may have a case, contact an attorney. If you bought the property during the course of the marriage there is no way out, you will have to buy her out or sale and split the proceeds.
