I would like to record myself playing some Christmas music, then sell CD's to fellow students and parents of my class. I have no intention of keeping the money for myself. ALL money raised would be given to my class. Since I am a jazz piano player,I would be improvising all the pieces. Is it possible to do this, and if so, what must I do to insure I don't violate copyright laws. I know that some pieces are public domain, but how can I be sure?
