Executor of estate

My father passed away last year.. I am the executor of the estate. Thinking I was done with legal things I shredded the paperwork that said I was the executor. Now I need to have something that says I am the executor of the estate, for a bill. What can I do, and what can I use? Will a death certificate work?Help and thank you.

The bill, is a gas bill that has been left in my fathers name. My dad chose some extra options for furnace and air conditioning repair. We recently installed new units and dont need the service from the gas company. They need poa from me to change this. Or executor of the estate.
