How long does an employer have to pay an employee who had to quit?

I had a job with Video Basic at Lackland AFB, Tx. and was told I would be paid weekly. I recieved another job offer that I had to take for my families welfare. I need every penny that I earned working but they have not paid me. Is there a time frame that employers are given before they have to pay me? What is my recourse if they don't?

It is illegal to withhold a check. you should have recieved it on the next payday. They have 30 days to keep your check if you owe them equipment or supples that are owned by the company.

You should contact your state labor board if you have not recieved a check yet.
