I bough a car and haven't gotten my tittly should i go to court?

I bought a car from this guy who is trying to build his own buissness (car dealership) which i am guessing he gets his cars from auctions ...... i bought the car three months ago in july and now is the end of october and he promissed me that he would give me my paper work before the tags expire and the tags expire this month... now he is blamming some other guy who i haven't met or made any buissnesss with he is taking me today to tell the guy if he doesn't give me my paper work i will take him to court.

but now i am debating shouldn't i take the guy who sold me the car to court?

actually i don't want to take anyone to court that's a waist of money and my time all i want is my paper work so i wont get tickets. well i guess to do that i will have to take someone to court and by doing this would i be able to get my money back and get the paperwork and keep my car? since i've waited so long for this B.S. well i am very confused and i don't know what to do. please help.
