If you have a joint savings account with a party that dies,do you have a right to the funds in the account?

I have a relative that recently passed away, this account was established over 25 years ago, now other family members are staking claim. What are my legal rights ?

The money is yours and should NOT go into probate. It is yours under the concept of right of survivorship and you should be asking the bank to issue a check to only YOU as payee, right now.

You must present the original copy of the death certificate and your I.D. to the Bank.
