In the state of North Carolina, does an employer have to pay for unused vacation time when someone quits their job?

My employer says I have to take my unused vacation time while I'm laid off and I want to save it for later.

I was recently temporaraly laid off if I have to get another job and quit my previous job. Do they have to pay me my earned vacation, I've worked ther 19 yrs....

My husband was given vacation pay starting after his 3 month probation period. He was given 80 hours. My husband resigned from the job after six months for a better offer and is being refused his vacation pay...

Recently quit my job after 20 yrs ( gave 3 weeks notice ) now my employer is refusing to pay out 60 hrs of vacation accrued from last year. he payed out another employee who quit 2 yrs prior.

Am i entitled to be paid for my vacation time accrued if i was let go at my job
