Legal ownership of land

I have a legal question to which I have been unable to find the answer, and would like any assistance available.

The question is how far down does you property rights extend, and how high up does your property rights extend.

I know that if you do retain the mineral rights to your property, your property rights extend below the surface, but I do not know how far below the surface.

I also know that property rights extend above the surface, so a structure can be built that is many stories high, but I do not know how far above the surface property rights extend.

Any information on this subject would be appreciated, thanks.
