Lunch breaks

Does an employee have the right to not take a lunch break,even if in a union contract the company grants one,

I think you should consult your shop steward about this issue. The company can find themselves in a conflict with union reps over the "he said , she said" type of discourse, if some employee do not take their breaks. Sooner or later someone will accuse teh co. of not allowing lunch breaks.
'he said he didn't want one, so I let him work through". "Oh not I didn't I said I wanted one later" etc.
One reason most co. follow the union contract rules to the letter.
