My 15 year old was driving on a learners permit without a legal driver in the car with her. She hit a parked care and took off. She panicked.

She was driving her boyfirneds mothers car. she had permission from him but not the owner of the car. Had she not taken off she would not have been cited for hit and run as well as driving without a valid license. The officer stated that if she would have remained at the scene that it would merly be an envelope exchange. Any way to get her out of this mess or get the citations and fines reduced? We live in Wisconsin

Hit and run , is not something they look at in court very good . and . maybe she can plead with her 15 year old self . and get a reduction . in fines. and stuff. saying that she was scared. and didnt know the laws and such. but thats about the only way to do this one.

Well she made a serious mistake driving without a licenced drivers and then to hit and run has made it worse. The court is not going to go to lighty on her because she knew she was doing wrong driving in the first place without a licence driver. The court will make her pay the fines and she will probary not be able to get a drivers licence for at least a year. She could also be put on probation. It really all depends on the judge. They have to instill the seriousness of this to the minor. You can call an attorney and see what they can do to help. They can do so more then you.

If by chance the officer wrote the wrong citiation number down, would she get off on a technicality? also, can she plead not guilty? Have it go to trial and hope the officeerr does not appear in court. We dont intend to allow her to get her drivers license until at least 18 now because of the offense. But anything we can try to save her hide would be a benefit.
