My ex has greatly increased his income this year can we get more child support?

He has gone from $50,000.00 to $200,000.00 a year. he lies about not having money and i have reduced his payments to help him but he's making a bundle compared to me and he does not buy anything for the kids. he spends on new houses, electronics, diamonds and vacations for he and the new wife but we get no more. how do i know how much more if any i can receive. we live in pa.

You need to file a petiton with the court asking for a modification of the child support order. If you use a Child Support Enforcment Agencie, they can do this for you. Your ex and you will be required to show income, and tax returns etc.. to prove how much you both make and how much each should be liable for.

Good Luck.

I agree. It's so sad you have to make a court force him to support your kids, but you definatly should make sure your kids are getting everything both of you can provide them.

Do file and hopefully you get things adjusted. He should be paying 3-4x what he was before if his pay has quadrupled since you set up the current payment rate.

You should be entitled to more child support. Here's an online calculator that will give you a general estimate of what to expect: http://www.alllaw.com/calculators/childsupport/pennsylvania/

Keep in mind that he might try and get more overnights with the children in order to reduce his payment.

Child support goes according to how much u make. so yes u r entilted to more money but u must file a petiton with the courts in order to get more money. and dont take his word for it that he has no money.
