Yes you can. I was in the same situation with an ex who did not have a Ga License. I was the primary on the loan and he was the co. I eventually got access to the vehicle and sold it and paid off the loan. He turned around and took me to court to try and get the vehicle back not knowing that i sold it. Needlessly said he did not win the case. I did since my name was the primary owner.

My Ex Isn't Making His Car Payments
Stupidly, more than a year ago, I was a co-signer on an automobile vehicle loan with my now ex. I am the primary signer on the vehicle loan. Well, we've now obviously broken up. He's mades several late payments on the vehicle since August. Yesterday, I called the finance company only to find out that he is now two and a half weeks late on his latest payment. I know this will eventually start adversely affecting my credit score. Do I have legal grounds to take the vehicle since I am the primary signer?
