If he has a restraining order, then he can simply call the police. When they go through the divorce procedure they will decide what to do with the house. He can also file for legal separation in which a temporary seperation agreement will deal with issues on the house, etc. until the divorce is finalized. I think maybe he should change the locks :)

My friend's wife walked out on him 5 years ago.
What rights does my friend have to keep her out? The house has been in her name but he is living here ever since and filed for divorce with a restraining order she suddenly walked in with 2 friends taking pictures and "starting" shit. After being MIA ed for 5 years?
