My right to drink water

Hi; I work for a company that states we are not allowed to have a clear drinking containers/bottles filled with water at our work stations. Is this this legal? Yes, we have drinking fountains, but they are aways from were we work. Isn't that a human right?

There are a lot of reasons you dont want people drinking at a work station , and thats electric shock, it will spill on your work , or some one elses work , its a time waste, and why if they pay you when you walk to the fountains would you not go get a drink, and this is legal for them doing this, break time is all you get , to get a drink , or go to the bathroom , with most co, and thats legal , and it Isn't a human right

The company does have the legal right to tell their employees that they cannot have a drink at thier work place. That is why they have the law for employees to get two fifthteen minutue breaks in an eight hour shift and a lunch.

There are no laws about this it's just company policy if you had a medical condition or took a prescribed medication such as a water pill that would make you dehydrated you should be able to drink water.

You could also argure health wise that during an average day you need x amount of water. You could do this easily by asking your doctor to write a not telling your employeer that you need x amoun during the day. Water around work stations is low risk around computer work stations, no risk of shock.
