Partners Irs Problem

I recently opened a business with my brother in law. He has had a small business before and got it scammed from underneath him. But he did not do anything about it. Now the guy who took it has been writing him down as an employee. The irs says my brother n law owes on back taxes and again he is not doing anything about it. Can the irs shut down the business till they get payed. What will my next step be (take him off the business till he gets it fixed) any help would be appreciated

Brain (3,269)

Is he still getting paid by this scammer guy to be apart of the business?

is it on back taxes for him personally, or him with the business?

I think he should be worrying about it, not you as much.
