My dad died in December 2007. He left a will. But; his checking account has another persons name. I understand she is co-owner??? and has not turned over the money.I am paying th bills related to his home. shouldn't the monies be turned over to the estate to pay these bills? His home is in Kentucky.

A vague question, but if you have power of att, you can probably close out the acct. She may say 1/2 is hers, but let the courts figure that one out.

If she is co-owner on the account, unfortunately the money is hers (rights of survivorship). She can do whatever she wants with it. Sorry.
