Quit Claim

I am married and I refinanced my house only the first mortgage. I signed the promissory note but my wife did not. The house may be going into foreclosure within a month maybe. My wife signed the title papers/mortgage. The lady doing the closing told her she was only signing to have her name on the title. she wants to quitclaim the title and interest to me to protect her credit will this take care of that. I only have a first mortgage no other loans.
