In NJ, how much time does a person have to rescind on a decision made to sign over the deed and title of their house to their grandchildren, while still alive?

My grandmother wants to sign over the title and deed to her house to my brother and I (grandchildren). If she signs the documents, is she able to rescind and take the house back? If so, how long?

What would percipatate such a question? If she is found to to be incompetent or coerced or their was some fraud, a court can order the title changed back. That is an unusual question. if she is receiving services or benefits, she may not be legally able to relimquish the house.

Some family issues. The house is willed to us but while she is still alive, some of her family members have convinced her to take equity out of the house, which is debt free, to help them pay their own debts and taking advantage of her. I just wanted to know that once it is signed over to us, if one of her family members convinces her to take it back, can she? Is there some sort of grace period after the documents are executed?

No, theer is no grace period, once it is signed that is it unless any of the other things I mentioned applies. The could be some legal issues though, with medicare and gift limits in your state. You should hire an attorney to make sure the documents are prepaerd correclty, the transfer has to be reported.
