If she lives in one State and you filed in another, the State you filed in has NO jurisdiction in making her appear. In addition, if her assets are all located outside the State where you filed, again, your Court would have no jurisidiction in making orders to recover those assets. Depending on the amount you are sueing for, it could cost you much much more just to collect - becase once an order is granted, you would have to file it in her home State and ask thier court to permit you to collect.
