We charged our tenant carpet cleanning?

Our lease states the tennant when movimg is responsible to clean the carpet and he didnt there was a large spot on the csrpet and we paid a professional to clean it and deducted it from his deposit. also we pput up a for rent sign 2week b4 he was to move and the sign stated do not distrub tennants he took the sigh down and never put it back up so we ran a ad in the paper for 1week and i charged him for this is this ok?
